This was the visual prompt for December for Living Poetry. Thanks to Bart Bartholemew for finding and posting such an absurd image. It prompted an early and almost inspired poem. My sister, JeanMarie Olivieri, a very good poet and poetry editor, thought it was good enough to blog. Here it is, Santas on holiday
Silly, soggy Santas
Squishing sand between their toes
Splashing salty waves
Sashaying with the currants
A fun poem in the tradition of Shel Silverstein. Love it!
