Sometimes you score an unexpected win

This poem was inspired by the Monday prompts at the Living Poetry blog. Read it to my oldest daughter, my muse. It reminded her of the warrior badger in the Redwall series of books. Even my husband liked it (and he doesn’t like poetry at all!). Response to Monday’s prompt: badger, glass, pound.

Badger

Channel a badger
Powerful
Fierce
Magnificent in her squat wideness

Channel her essence
Pound obstacles to dust
Break the glass barriers holding you back
Embrace your inner goddess
